Johnson County Public Health Receives National Accreditation

By: Dave Koch, Director, Johnson County Public Health

Dear Johnson County,

I’m pleased to announce that Johnson County Public Health was awarded national accreditation by the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) on March 21, 2019.

JCPH has worked towards the goal of achieving national accreditation for several years; being accredited highlights the strengths of engaged staff, reflects successful population health strategies, and validates organizational commitment to performance and quality. We are excited to join health agencies across the country (and those within our state) who have achieved this milestone and to further connect with those exploring accreditation.

The accreditation process has clearly shown us that collaborative effort is much greater than the sum of parts. Not only has JCPH benefited from talented and committed staff, but our relationships with our outstanding community partners was highlighted as a great strength in working through this process. Thank you for your support and for the impactful work you do in public health. I could not be more proud of the work we have accomplished together. This recognition is one more piece in our journey forward to serve the residents and visitors to Johnson County.

Thank you All!
