
The Community Health Division of Johnson County Public Health (JCPH) selected four awardees for their HealthyJoCo Community Projects Funding opportunity. The funding is provided to non-profit and governmental entities for project support related to priority areas identified through the JCPH Health Improvement Plan. Awardees were selected through a competitive process and JCPH looks forward to offering this funding annually to local community partners. The 2019 awardees are:
- CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank for their project “Retaining Suicide Prevention Counselors and Providers in Johnson County through Self-care”
- Domestic Violence Intervention Program for their project “Immediate Relief for Victims of Domestic Violence in Johnson County”
- Iowa City Free Medical and Dental Clinic for their project “Dental Care at the Iowa City Free Clinic”
- Shelter House for their project “Shelter House Health Clinic Revitalization- Phase 2”
